Why it matters

Most people compare three businesses or fewer before they choose. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, and a complete, active profile improves the two you control.

This scorecard checks the basics owners most often miss: a verified profile, the right category, accurate hours, a review habit, replies, services, photos and a matching website page.

Questions

What do 0, 1 and 2 mean?

0 means not done, 1 means partly done, 2 means complete. Be honest — the list of what to fix first is only as good as your answers.

Does a high score mean I’ll rank higher?

No. Your score measures how complete and active your profile is. Google says there is no way to pay for a better local ranking, and nobody can promise a position.

How often should I re-score?

Once a month, as part of a short monthly routine: post an update, set holiday hours, check services and attributes, then re-score.

Can this check my profile automatically?

Yes — the free Local Growth Snapshot looks up your real profile and compares it with nearby competitors.
