Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2, 2026 · Draft under legal review — we'll post any changes here.

Local Growth Pilot is a service of Irie World, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company (“we”). This explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

What we collect

  • Free business snapshot: the business name, address, website and type you enter, plus a one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself) to stop abuse.
  • Getting your full report: your first name, email address and phone number.
  • Your account: your name, email, password (stored only in scrambled form by our sign-in provider), an optional profile photo, and your settings and email preferences.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We keep your plan, its status and Stripe's reference numbers — never your full card number.
  • Public business information: Google Maps listings, reviews and ratings, and public website details for your business and nearby competitors, which we look up to build reports and track changes.
  • Usage: which pages are viewed and which features are used (see Analytics below).

Your customers' information

Review requests you send yourself (from your own phone or email) store only the customer's first name and last initial. Feedback pages (the business's link or QR code) count how often they're opened and how often the Google review button is used, recording each visitor only as a salted hash so repeat visits aren't double-counted.

Private messages to a business. A customer can send the business a private message from its feedback page. We store the message for the business, plus the name and phone number or email the customer chooses to leave (both optional). The name and contact detail are deleted 90 days after the message; the message itself stays with the business's account. We use these details only to show the message to the business and email it to them.

Review requests we email for a business (added by hand, through the business's CRM or by CSV upload): we keep the customer's first name, last initial and email address only to send that request and at most one reminder, sent between 8am and 8pm local time. The email address is deleted 90 days after the request; after that we keep only a coded fingerprint of it (which can't be turned back into the address), so an unsubscribe link keeps working and the same customer isn't asked again too soon. Every email has an unsubscribe link; if a customer uses it, that business never emails them through us again. The business is responsible for having the customer's permission; we act on its behalf and use these details for nothing else.

How we use information

  • To run the service: build snapshots and reports, track changes over time, send the emails you ask for, and bill you.
  • To send account emails (sign-in links, confirmations, receipts) and the update emails you can turn off in Settings.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (for example, limiting how often a form can be used).
  • To understand which features help, so we can improve them.

AI

Some features use Anthropic's Claude AI to write explanations, analyses and review-reply drafts. For that we send it public business information (such as listings and review text) and your report's figures — not your password or payment details. AI-written text is always shown to you as a draft; we never post anything to Google for you.

Analytics and cookies

We use PostHog to count page views and feature use. Events go through our own domain, web addresses are recorded without their query strings (so links with codes or tokens aren't stored), and the unsubscribe, opt-out and sign-in pages aren't tracked at all. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember which business you selected, and PostHog uses a cookie or browser storage to tell visits apart. The free tools run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is sent to us (the checklist tool saves your ticks in your own browser only).

Who helps us run the service

These providers process information for us, only to provide their part of the service:

  • Supabase — database and sign-in
  • Vercel — hosting
  • Inngest — background jobs (running audits, scheduling emails)
  • Stripe — payments
  • Resend — sending email
  • Anthropic — AI-written text
  • PostHog — product analytics
  • SerpAPI and Google — looking up public business and website information

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service from fraud or abuse.

How long we keep it

  • Customer email addresses for review requests: 90 days, as described above.
  • The optional name and contact detail on a private message to a business: 90 days.
  • Your account, reports and history: while your account is open, and until you ask us to delete them.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices and rights

  • Turn update emails off in Settings, or with the unsubscribe link in any update email.
  • Ask for your data to be deleted under Settings → Delete my data.
  • Ask for a copy of your information, or for something to be corrected, by emailing support@localgrowthpilot.net. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights; we'll honour them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people and systems that need it, and sensitive values (like IP addresses and customer opt-outs) are stored only as one-way hashes where we can.

Children

Local Growth Pilot is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email account holders before it applies.
